SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

Education in Kenya can be challenging. Public school is free through the 8th grade, but secondary schools are not. It becomes difficult for many families to afford tuition costs and school fees, plus transportation and living expenses. Most of the students are sent to boarding schools, sometimes quite far away.

We began sponsoring a few students in high school in 2012, but ultimately created a scholarship program that has provided tuition assistance to more than 30 young people. And they are so eager to learn!  Seven of our scholarship students have now graduated from college and are pursuing their careers, and nine more are currently in college. It is especially rewarding to see young women excel in school, rather than being coerced into an early marriage and children.

Donations to our scholarship fund will be greatly appreciated, both by PEAK and by the individual students.

Some of our scholarship recipients are shown below.
