The past few years have been both challenging and rewarding for PEAK. Our projects have continued in Kenya, although team trips were paused due to COVID. But with the help of our Kenyan partners, we have been able to continue our work providing clean water systems in schools and villages, as well as our high school and college scholarship program and other aid. We also have continued to provide tuition assistance to ten high school students and five college students. It’s inspiring and rewarding to see how eager these young people are for a good education, and to be able assist them in achieving their goals.

Progress has also continued at Deborah Fountains School in a rural community near Meru, where we opened the preschool classrooms in January 2020. The 1st grade classroom opened in 2021, and the 2nd grade classroom was added in April 2022. The number of students has more than doubled, and we anticipate continued growth with the opening of the 3rd grade classroom in January 2023.

We expect team trips to continue in 2023. In the meantime, we are committed to continuing the work that we love so much, and we remain grateful for the generosity of donors who help make our work possible. Contributions are always welcome and greatly appreciated! Learn more about our work and ongoing projects by contacting Debbie Welden at deborah.welden@gmail.com or 970-274-8464.
