We are pleased and excited to announce a new project begun in 2019:  the construction of a new primary school in a small community just outside of Meru. There has been no nearby school for the children in this area, requiring them to walk 2 to 3 miles to school each day – a difficult task, especially for the youngest among them. Work has begun this year, with the hope that the pre-school and hopefully the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms can be completed in time for the new school year in January 2020.

Installing clean water systems in schools continues to be a priority, as well as our student scholarship program, now supporting eight young Kenyans in their quest for a better future through continuing education.

Two team trips are planned for January 2020 – to help with constructing the new primary school, follow up on existing clean water systems, and help with installing new clean water projects, in partnership with Rotary Clubs in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska, as well as Rotary International.
